DAY 4 OF EIR

Back on the 2nd week as we continued on doing Practical 3, we continued on evaluate our search by using two search engine. One was Google.com which is familiar to any internet user, the other is Scholar.Google.com. As i don't really look out on the Google's search functions/features, i quite impressed by what they have during the practicals of EIR. Under the function 'More', i found the link Scholar.Google.com. I suggest that Google can place the link Scholar at its homepage. This allows other user to be more aware of the links and information they can cite from for the research which will be more reliable and relevant. Google's search functions like Images which allow us to search tonnes of images from the web and videos which link to other webs like youtube, or personal blogs' views and opinions. Most of the comparisions between Google.com and Scholar.Google.com are shown in the previous entry.

Next up, we need to cite and compile a bibliography of the resources that i have retrieved during my Prac. 1-3. And why do we have to do this as to give credits to the website or author for the information that we have retrieved. The other reason was to prevent any plagiarism. The authors have the right to protect their work from being misused, etc

Last, was the activity 3 where we participate in a Discussion Forum related to our Portfolio chosen topic. I signed up and post a question regarding the proliferation of fast food chains in world market on public health on the discussion forum. But i'm still waiting for replies. Then, i just continue to explore on the other search engines.
